What Information About You Does the La Pine Senior Activity Center Gather?
We collect the information you provide when you fill out a form on our web, or a print form. This includes signing up for our email lists, registering for an event, applying for membership, purchasing an item, buying lunch tickets, making a donation, volunteering, winning at Bingo or other games of chance, or contracting for an event or other services.
Our forms allow users to give us information that may include name, email address, address, phone numbers, birth date, areas of interest or similar information, and required additional information to report winnings. Information related to winnings is never collected over the Internet. Except as detailed below or required by law (such as reporting Bingo winnings), we do not disclose identifying information. We may use non-identifying basic information (aggregate data) for use in annual reports or member/sector snapshots.
Members are listed in our directory and some member and supporters are acknowledged on our website and in some reports. If you do not want your name or other personal information, such as birth date (month and day) or address, shared in the directory, please opt out when you join or renew your membership or email .
The Center’s website (www.lapineseniorcenter.org) logs all visitors through the IP address of the device they use to access our website and we use a variety of analytic programs for statistical tracking. We send a monthly newsletter, The Victory Way Informer, with information we hope is relevant and of value to our members by email or the U.S. Mail, depending on the member’s selection. We also send out other communications to our members and the public by the U.S. Mail, print publications, email, social media or posted on our website. The La Pine Senior Activity Center uses social networks, like Facebook, to reach out to our members. On these networks, we abide by the terms and conditions of that website/service, and reserve the right to use those networks for marketing purposes. Comments made on our Social media accounts are reviewed and published at our discretion, and through the use of these functions, you accept that the La Pine Senior Activity Center reserves the right to edit, moderate, and re-use comments for in-house promotional materials. Promotions and advertising are not permitted in this medium, nor is derogatory or hateful speech.
