CaneQi – a new class at the La Pine Senior Activity Center starting January 3 at 12:00 pm.

  • CaneQi uses classic Tai Chi and Qigong movements to deliver a low impact light aerobic workout that increases strength, bone density, flexibility, balance and coordination.
  • It will use a standard bentwood cane with to enhance one’s daily life and reduce the risk of a fall.
  • In addition, the program develops mindfulness, introspection, focus, and self awareness.

First class is free, then it is $60 ($5 a class) for a 12 week session – you really need to practice every week to see the benefits.

Daily practice of Tai Chi gives one the Strength of a Lumberjack, the Wisdom of a Sage, and the Flexibility of a Child.
