  • Substance Abuse And Addiction In The Elderly

The Community Outreach team with AddictionCampuses.com, an organization dedicated to providing the best treatment and informational resources possible for those who are struggling, or who have loved ones, struggling with substance abuse.

Our mission is to educate as many people as possible by providing informational resources that increase understanding and awareness of addiction—a disease that unfortunately affects those within the 65+ community. Research suggests that substance use is an emerging public health issue among the nation’s older adults.

We hope that the information we provide can help seniors and their loved ones become aware of this, and help them find treatment.

We are an advocacy organization dedicated to helping patients diagnosed with asbestos illnesses.

Veterans make up the largest group of people diagnosed with mesothelioma because asbestos was so widely used by the military until the 1980’s. Veterans who have been diagnosed with mesothelioma may qualify for Disability Compensation, Pension and/or medical care through the VA. Surviving spouses and dependents may also qualify for Dependency & Indemnity Compensation (DIC), Survivor Pension and Aid & Attendance.  Our services and resources are 100% free to patients and family members.

https://www.pleuralmesothelioma.com/cancer/ – Pleural mesothelioma is a deadly form of cancer caused from asbestos exposure. Due to the long latency period of mesothelioma, approximately 20-50 years, about 80% of those who are diagnosed with this terrible disease are seniors. Our organization works 1-on-1 with these individuals to help them find local doctors, treatment centers and support groups.
